Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Jen. I’m a counselor and writer by trade, but I moonlight as an artist and farmer. I’m a wife and mom, doing her best to balance all the things.

I live at the intersection of secular spaces and sacred stories—and it can get messy. I serve as an independent contractor through Alma Via Counseling Services, though the views and resources I share here are my own and don’t necessarily reflect the broader organization.

I love Jesus and work with people who do not. Both things can be true. I sit with sinners, and I am one of them. I don’t exactly fit a mold…and maybe I’m not supposed to.

I care about the people on the margins of ministry—too broken, too different, too much or too little for a typical church setting. If that’s you, I hope you find room to breathe here.

I believe if Jesus came today, He would break bread with people from every walk of life. Not to say, “You’re great…never change.” But to extend the invitation to, “Come…follow me.” He came to stir hearts, blow minds, and change lives from the inside out.

And if He walked the earth today? I think He’d still be doing that over long dinners with unexpected guests.

For that reason, I consider it Christlike hospitality—not compromise—to speak in ways that reflect the wide invitation Jesus extended. I don’t always understand—or even feel comfortable with—everyone who comes to the table. But I’m not the host. I didn’t write the guest list. I’m just here because grace made room for me, too—and I want others to know there’s still a seat for them, and a Savior who can transform them.

So—if you’re craving transformative faith, deeper connection, and the courage to live in the tension, you’re welcome here.
